He is the author of dozens of publications in scientific and medical journals as well as numerous nutrition books for lay readers and is frequently called on by news programs to discuss issues related to nutrition, research issues, and other controversial areas in modern medicine. He is a frequent lecturer at scientific and lay conferences and many state dietetic associations.

Vegan Seminar

This our second annual vegan seminar held at the Watha T. Daniel/Shaw Library in DC.  Our keynote speaker is Dr. Ted Watkins.

Dr. Theodore L. Watkins, is a physician and founder of The Eden Institute. He is a recognized authority of preventive health and is committed to teaching people the principles of a healthy lifestyle to increase longevity and eliminate a number of preventable diseases. His podcasts can be downloaded on WPFW radio.  Dr. Watkins has lectured and taught thousands of audiences in the United States and the Caribbean. His current emphasis is on educating individuals on the spiritual and emotional aspects of health as he works with churches and community groups.

Jon Camp is Executive Vice President for Vegan Outreach.  This past Spring he reached a milestone on the campus of the University of Georgia when he handed out his one millionth booklet. Jon was elected to the Animal Rights Hall of Fame for personally distributing over one million informational pamphlets and training activists to pass out millions more.Throughout the last nine years, Jon has traveled throughout North America, reaching out to college students with the plight of farm animals. Jon’s commentary on animal advocacy has has been featured in various books and documentaries.

Tackling Diabetes with Neal Barnard, M.D.
